At the same time, I know if I was younger at the time, I probably would have been more engaged with the show. Part of me during it's run whenever I so happened to see this show I didn't like it, I honestly don't know why but there is something about this show that I dreaded. A very innocent cartoon produced by The House of Mouse. They have a sister that they are at war with. PAF is about a couple kids and an otter getting into the mischievous thing around their town. The show looks very well done, but unfortunately due to bad timing I can't rate it high. Phineas and Ferb came out at the wrong time, which is why I don't engage well with it.

From being an avid TV watcher to detesting the TV. ****īy around 2006-2007 I was shying away from TV and movies. It's pretty reassuring knowing that every time a great animated Disney show ends, there's always another one still going on. I think I was introduced to this show by watching a YouTube clip. There's tons of great jokes and while not on the level as something like "The Amazing World Of Gumball", still a ton of fun to watch. They acknowledge their formula many times and acknowledge other things in general. Franchises like the "Transformers" movies are monotonous because their characters are so unappealing and you can even tell the actors aren't having fun with their roles. It is in fact predictable, but at least there's different inventions every episode. The animation is great and we all get really pleasant characters as few of them are genuinely evil. Candace is my favorite character if only because she fails at everything as I've always had a soft spot for characters that continually failed, like Charlie Brown or Team Rocket. Its biggest strength is probably how likeable the characters are. This was one of the funniest cartoons ever made. There's also the subplot of their pet, Perry the Platypus trying to stop the evil Doctor Doofenschmirtz.

Some episodes do in fact show she would be mad and punish them if she found out what they did. Their mother might be the only one in Danville who is unaware of what they do. The premise is pretty simple as every episode features Candace trying to bust her brothers Phineas and Ferb for creating some amazing invention. I've seen nearly every episode of this show and it's worth checking out. This is of course not to say that there weren't groundbreaking cartoons made in the 2000s, especially this one. It wasn't until the 2010s that we got into a Golden Age of animation. Some of the later episodes aren't as creative or as funny, which is a real shame, but overall, this is very entertaining and a major step up from most of the Disney shows airing now. I also liked Richard O'Brien(Riff Raff in The Rocky Horror Picture Show) as the Dad. And then we are treated by a talented voice cast, Vincent Martella and Thomas Sangster are really appealing and Ashley Tisdale surprised me and in a good way. Not to mention Perry the Platypus, who is funny and cute, and Dr Doofenschmirtz has a lot of great lines and is just an entertaining character. Then we have truly irreverent writing, well thought out and intelligent story lines and fun characters particularly Phineas, Ferb and Candace. The animation is very simple, but colourful and vibrant and the music is thankfully not torture to the ears but pleasant and memorable. It is funny, it is original and it does have something for everyone. A truly great show for kids and adults alike, and a huge surprise. Phineas and Ferb is one of those exceptions. Nowadays I am not that fond of some of the shows airing on the Disney channel now, save one or two exceptions. At 17, I grew up on the Disney films and shows, and I still like to watch them.
